3-Groove SPA Pulleys
Use this family when the working drive uses 3 active SPA V-grooves. Groove count is the first filter, not the final selection. Compare P, O, construction type, taper bush and maximum bore on the individual model pages, and keep the shaft interface attached to the purchasing record.

Where to start
For replacement work, photograph the installed drive before disassembly. Record the marking, belt section, shaft, keyway and bush marking. For a new drive, begin from speed relationship and installation envelope rather than from an arbitrary outside diameter.
Adjacent SPA sizes can share a groove count while using different bush or construction arrangements. Open the model page before releasing the RFQ.

Shortlist by the full model identity, then validate the bush and actual shaft. Check any available exact type drawing when hub position or axial clearance matters. If an exact drawing is not available for a model, request the controlled drawing rather than treating a family view as exact geometry.

Move through the family in a controlled order. First keep the SPA profile and groove count fixed. Next compare the P and O references. Then check the taper-bush designation and the actual shaft requirement. Finally, confirm construction type and the letter dimensions that affect axial position or guard clearance. This order reduces the chance that one attractive diameter match hides a different mounting arrangement.
When a model is being replaced from field measurements, write down where each number came from. A measured outside diameter, a marking on the pulley and a value on an old drawing are three different sources of information. They may agree, but they should not be silently merged. If two references conflict, send both with the RFQ and identify which one the machine is expected to control.
For mixed-model purchasing, list each full model and quantity on its own line. The commercial order can still be combined, but the technical identity of each line stays intact. That is especially useful when several machines share the same belt profile but use different shaft sizes or groove counts.

3-groove model comparison: practical decision notes
Within the 3-groove SPA family, groove count stays fixed while diameter, bush and construction details change across the model range. A buyer should be able to trace every important decision to a model marking, a drawing reference, a measurement or a stated machine requirement. When the data comes from different places, keep those references separate until they have been reconciled. This is especially important for pulley diameter, hub position and the shaft interface, because visually similar parts can use different construction arrangements.

If the requirement is urgent maintenance, resist the temptation to choose the nearest visual match. A short delay to confirm the belt, shaft and construction reference is usually less costly than installing a part that shifts the belt line or cannot be removed within the available service space.
